Several have written to ask me about the basil growing in my Prepara indoor garden.
This picture was taken a couple of weeks ago. I’m so happy with the amount of basil it produced. Once the leaves got large enough to harvest, I got probably 1 cup of leaves off each week. It is pretty scraggly now and I’m going to clean it out this week and replant. I set up a second one in the basement but I’m afraid I wasn’t very attentive to it. I planted cilantro, parsley and oregano in the second one. First problem is that we keep our basement really cool at night since Chad is gone. And, I let the darned thing run out of water. And, if that wasn’t enough, the parsley and cilantro shot up pretty tall and I didn’t raise the light and kinda singed the ends of the leaves. I’m probably going to clean it out too and a couple of weeks after I plant the basil upstairs, I’ll replant the second one with basil. Parsley and cilantro are inexpensive to buy . . basil is not and we use lots of it.
Anyway, I’ve been really pleased with the indoor garden.

Thanks for updating all of us on the status of the basil. Now inquiring minds want to know about the wheat berries!! How many hundreds of pounds do you have left? Have a great day.
