The good news first . . Loopy Academy rules are out for this semester. My projects have been chosen and my yarn has been ordered. I’ll share pictured and my projects once the yarn arrives.
More good news . . yesterday morning my friend and I started sewing at 8:00 a.m. We loaded her deer quilt and she quilted it . . all of it . . by herself . . and she did an amazing job. We stopped for lunch and then she came back, sewed the binding on, then flipped it over and finished it by machine. I’m so proud of her! This was her first quilt ever.
Once she took hers off the longarm, I loaded mine and got it quilted. The binding isn’t on mine yet. I’ll get pictures soon.
The bad news . . my teeth! I’ve never had amazingly good teeth but I’ve never had horrible teeth, til last year when two older (but barely 5 years old) crowns were replaced. I’ve never been able to chew on that side and one of the teeth was so cold sensitive that I couldn’t stand to be outside when it was cold. Even with my mouth closed (yes, sometimes that happens), it still hurt when it was cold. I went to have a root canal and the endodontist looked at the x-rays and thought the other tooth with the new crow looked worse and also needed a root canal. He did the cold sensitive tooth first and then I went back two weeks later (last Tuesday) for a root canal on the other tooth. Wednesday, I noticed the tooth next to that tooth had something sharp on it. I hoped it was just some filling material that had gotten on that tooth but Friday, a huge chunk of tooth or filling or crown . . something . . fell off that tooth. Now there’s just a piece of a tooth back there. I called the local dentist Monday morning and after calling again yesterday, he’s going to look at it this afternoon.
I’m thankful for dentists and dental insurance but I’m really tired of dental problems. I’m hoping that it’s just a huge filling that fell out of that tooth, but I’m not hopeful. My fingers are crossed that I don’t have to have another root canal. Wish me luck please!!

So sorry about the tooth…..that is so aggravating (as well as painful). Wishing you all the best this afternoon.

So sorry about the tooth, I feel your pain. Just got done with over a year and lots of $$$ worth of dental work. It all seemed to come at once. I also have struggled with not so amazing teeth but had tried to take very good care of them. He told me that I had done the best I could with what I had but the time had come to take drastic measures. So glad it is over and I am sure you will be also!

What the heck have you been chewing on?!!! That sounds like NO FUN to me as I hate going to the dentist..hope this is the 3rd as in ‘things come in threes’ and then no more. That is awesome that your friend is learning by your side. I know you’re a good teacher. Can’t wait to see both of them done–WTG!

You have my empathy! I love my curNerent dentist, but that doesn’t mean I enjoy going to him; nearly every time requires something be done. And it’s usually costly :/

If I had all the money I have wasted on my teeth I would be able to have a wonderful quilting system. I say wasted because I have had failed root canals, teeth fracture after crowns, root canals, or other expensive dental work, failed crowns, etc. I have sjogrens, so that may be why all this dental failure, but it makes me sick. Yesterday I had an implant placed and hope that this too doesn’t fail.
So I feel your pain.
