I spent half the weekend (which is equal to one day!) convincing my husband that I needed a new machine – the coverstitch machine, which should arrive today.
I’ve been looking at patterns and knit fabric online. Yes, I’ve ordered patterns and fabric but the machine is going to be here and I have no fabric to use. Here’s last night’s discussion with Vince:
Me: You don’t mind if I cut up some of your old shirts and use to play with the machine, do you?
Vince: Looking over his glasses at me like I had just said something stupid . . Can’t you go buy fabric? I’ll pay for it. (Hey dude . . I have a credit card. I don’t need you to pay for it!) 🙂
Me: I don’t want to leave home. I just want to use your shirts that you don’t wear.
Vince: No! I’m going to wear those some day.
Me: OHH! I found some really nice men’s T-shirt patterns. Some are like Henley type shirts!
Vince: Looking at me and dead serious . . Would it cost more than $5 to make them?
Vince: Then . . no! I only pay $5 for my shirts.
That would be funny except he’s totally serious!
