There are so many good things about Nevada, MO. There are just a few bad things and even though they aren’t BAD, they’re things that bother us enough that I know we’ll never move back here.
Most of the bad are just personal preferences and not the fault of the town. I don’t think we’ll ever live inside the city limits anywhere again so I’m not even going to comment on the red tag man but seeing them makes me want to leave and never come back.
It’s been in the low 20’s already at night. I think our blood has gotten quite thin living in the heat of Texas because the 20 degree temps have been killing me. I was never bothered much by the cold when we lived here. Vince said I was but I’ve forgotten . . maybe so.
This area has such bad water and there’s no chance of having a water well here. We can go an hour or so south of here and get decent water wells. I don’t see us ever living where we don’t have our own well.
The town is working really hard to revive their downtown square and it seems to be a bustling place.
I’ve always loved their courthouse on the square.
Downtown was packed on Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. That was nice to see.
The people here, for the most part, are so nice. I had a plastic piece that had broken off my car so on my way into town, I called the guy who did our body work here and he said to run by. He called about the part. It will be here Monday. He said to come by and I can wait while he fixes it. I’m sure he doesn’t usually give that kind of service but he knew I was only here for a week or so. I definitely appreciate his service.
There’s always Chad, Nicole and Addie. Maybe I can live with the cold and no water well! 🙂
