Most all the photos I’m showing on the Facebook challenge are pictures that have been posted on the blog at some point through the years.
We moved to Brownwood in August, 2011 and there was a horrible drought going on. We had not been able to find a house to buy (no fault of the drought) so we were renting and it happened to be a house at the lake. The only water that remained in the lake was right in the center at the deepest part. Where we lived, we could walk down the boat launch and all the way across in all directions. We could barely even see water from where we were. We could walk completely under the bridge (I didn’t!) to the other side . . no water anywhere.
That lake being almost dried up was huge since so much of this area depends on the lake as its only supply for water.
As of today, the lake is 83.8% full. It has been completely full and flooding a couple of times since we’ve been here.
