Going through my stash on Ravelry, these are the yarns I have in Madelinetosh Sport in sufficient quantities to make Winterfell Cardigan. According to the pattern, I need about 1,300 yards. Because of swatching and I think I’ll make mine a little longer, I’d feel much more comfortable with at least 1,400 yards. That’s 5.18 skeins so 6 skeins will give me 1,620 yards and I’ll be real comfortable with that amount.
First is a pretty green – the color is Thoreau and I have 2,160 yards. Plenty!
The second is Firewood. Love the color but am not sure about whether I’d lose the pattern. I can always swatch with the pattern to see what it looks like. I have 2,430 yards of this.
Last of the Tosh Sport in my stash . . Dachshund. I’m saving this for a very special project because I remember buying this and thinking . . Old Speck isn’t going to be around forever and I want to get this yarn! I have 1,620 yards of it. The perfect amount without having to leave orphan skeins behind. The design is probably less likely to show up with this color than with Firewood.
What do I do? I have a credit at ESK so I could order yarn but I really want to use the stash.
