Several years ago, I took little divided cases and put various types of stitch markers, darning needles, T-pins, snip scissors . . everything I thought I’d need if knitting while away from home. Back then, I had only a few projects so tucking one in each project bag made sense. Now, I have way too many project bags with half finished projects and even when knitting at home, I can never find a stitch marker, nor can I find one of the containers with my supplies. I may dig through 5 or 6 bags before I find a container of supplies. I’ve made a point to stop before hanging the project bags up, take out the box of supplies and put the on the chest of drawers in the bedroom where my projects are stored.
That helps but with so many projects, I’m still short on stitch markers.
I’m always needing more stitch markers so about a year or more ago, I decided I’d make my own. I bought all the stuff and never tried it. Last night, for whatever reason, I got it out and made a few. Maybe our daily trips to Hobby Lobby have inspired me.
The glue wasn’t dry on the beads so they all look kinda wonky in the picture. I wasn’t crazy about the glue I’m using but need to do a little research and see if there’s a better one out there. I’m sure there is. They were really fun to make.
Yesterday when we were at Hobby Lobby, I bought a few more charms. Soon I’ll have some pretty snazzy stitch markers!
