Every now and then we get a dusting of snow. We get way more ice than snow but it isn’t unheard of to get snow. This morning I looked at Facebook and saw this:
There we are . . right there at the edge of possibly getting 3″ of snow. How fun would that be? I wonder what Cat would think about that. So . . Vince . . one of those people who says WE HAVE TO GO TO THE STORE.
Vince: Don’t you need something from the store?
Me: No.
Vince: Yesterday you said you need something.
Me: I need to make one more batch of dog food before I leave but we have to go out Monday to take the car to the shop so I’ll get it then.
Vince: I think we should go today!
Me: I don’t! It’s going to be a zoo with people in a panic over the snow.
Vince: Let’s go now before the other people get there.
This was on FB two hours ago. Everyone in town has seen it or someone has seen it and told them they need to go to the grocery store. Honestly, there’s not one thing we need . . but we’re going to the store just because if it snows 3″, there may be a period of one hour that we can’t get to the store. This is what preparedness is all about .. having what you need so you don’t have to run out every time there’s an emergency situation – real or perceived. But . . we’re going to the store!
