Addie came home from school today wanting to write a book. She grabbed construction paper, folded it in half, stapled it and created a blank canvas for her “book”. She told me she wanted to write a book about knitting!
The ball in the middle is yarn! There may have been a box or two of yarn from Eat, Sleep, Knit that have arrived while I’ve been here. She asked where one of my scratch off lotto cards was and I told her she could grab one out of my purse. She obviously needed it to see how to spell “Eat, Sleep, Knit”.
She went on to write about making hats, sweaters, mittens and socks. I told her I thought she should give me her first book but she wants to donate it to her classroom so next year’s kindergarteners can read it. Funny girl!

Maybe she’ll let you copy it! You should have a copy for about 15 years from now. =)

Sounds like a budding author.

How cute .. Our oldest granddaughter (who is now 21) did one like that in Kindergarten and entitled it Grandma Sews and Crochets. Then we sat down and I explained to her what is sewing and what is crocheting. It was the cutest little book and I made a copy (thank goodness).

Love her imagination and creativity and that she has family to cheer her onward. Is she interested in learning to knit? Maybe a scarf for Speck. Don’t forget to mark your spot to sleep tonight before Speck beats you to it. It made me laugh. Our little 8# Mavis does not like to be rearranged in bed.
