On our way to Arkansas, we spent one night at a Stoney Creek Hotel. Neither of us had ever stayed in one. The door in our room wouldn’t close unless Vince put all his might behind it. I’m sure neighbors wanted us to go away. Rita had go to out in the night and the door was hard to open and hard to shut and there was no quiet way to do it. I’m surprised no one complained about us. But, the hotel had some amazing decorations.
This horse look like it’s carved from stone but when you get up close . .
. . it actually looks like some kind of poly fiberfill that has been sprayed with some kind of glue and crunched into shape.
They have these rooms on the first floor and I think they call it the “library”. It looked very cozy.
This is the carpet in the hallways. I wish I was brave enough to put this in high traffic areas of my house. Oh . . the one house with the small kitchen had ZERO carpet. My kind of house!
They had these wooden “books” on a bookshelf. Vince or Chad could make those. Aren’t they pretty?
It was a very interesting hotel. The bed was comfy, the a/c was cold and they allow dogs . . that’s about all that matters I suppose. We would stay there again. In fact . . we did . . on our way home. We hadn’t planned to go home the same way but that was part of the changes that had to be made so we made it easy on ourselves and stayed some place we were already at least somewhat familiar with.
