Last night I started a small batch of lacto fermented pickles. I only had about 7 pickling cucumbers so I tossed them in there and in about 10 days, we’ll hopefully have some good pickles.
The last batch I made, they were kinda mushy and I don’t know why. I did the same things I always do – add grape leaves and bay leaves which are supposed to keep them crunchy. I’m anxious to see how these turn out. We have grapevines and we’ll never get grapes . . I grow them to add the leaves to my pickles.
