Last night as I started to work on my Blue Sand sweater, I thought . . I really should work on Addie’s sweater first because that one HAS to be done when I see her in October.
I was surprised that I only had a couple of rows to do on the back so I finished the back. The front, except for the “decorations” was already done. That left just the sleeves.
The pattern called for striped sleeves. I had just about convinced myself to make solid sleeves and zip through those and be done but then I decided to do the striped sleeves and I’m so glad I did the stripes.
Color isn’t great. Can we all just know that I’ll always have bad lighting til we move to a different house?
These striped sleeves are so darned cute. I love them. I want to make a striped sweater for myself using these colors and I might just do it some day.
There are 38 tails to be woven in and cut on EACH sleeve. But, the sleeves are so cute, I don’t even mind. It took about two hours to make the first sleeve so tonight maybe I’ll be able to get the second one done.
Then, I’ll soak and block the two sleeves, the front, the back, then proceed with putting things together and adding the decorations.
Really, I’ll be so very happy to be done with this sweater and I’m hoping Addie loves it.
