Yarn Buying Question

I couldn’t keep it a secret!

Saturday I was admiring my colorwork, which has gotten much better lately, and I must have been smiling. Vince asked why I was smiling and I told him I was just admiring my colorwork. He said “That’s pretty! I wouldn’t mind a sweater like that!” The End! I couldn’t keep it a secret any longer. I said “This is for you!” Then he didn’t believe me. I could probably have said “OK . . but I can make one for you if you like it!” He would likely have believed it and never thought the sweater was for him.

My colorwork is pretty . . don’t you think?

Your work is beautiful….I have never done any color work, but this winter when it is snowing and I just want to stay in….I have a pattern for a simple Fair Isle hat I can make for my granddaughter….I’m going to conquer it….that and at the same time I can learn to use a chart…..

Yes, it IS beautiful! My grandmother taught me how to do that when I was young. Loved it and ordered a kit from Mary Maxim when I was a teenager. The pattern had 4 different colors that were worked together into a leaf pattern. I still wasn’t great at knitting, but I finished that afghan! 🙂

Telling him that you could make him one would have been a perfect excuse for buying more yarn! Oh my, you lost an opportunity to shop. LOL
