Last night I worked late into the night to get the second sleeve done on my Linho. It had not been started but after doing the last post, not knowing what I wanted to work on, I convinced myself to finish that project. At ESK, there's a badge for "Long Haul Project". It's something that has to have been started at least 9 months ago. We all know I have plenty of those long hibernating projects. I ...

Crochet
When I posted on Ravelry and said it's been about half a century since I did any crochet . . I really felt old but it's true. I learned in high school. Then I did do a couple of the crocheted names but I think that's called "filet crochet" but it's still basically crochet. There's an ESK badge for crocheting a project and one for felting a project. I have no interest in either but this year, ...
Aziz Shawl
Today I will soak and block the Aziz Shawl. The pattern said to carry the threads up the side but where the green rows are, I felt like that was too long to carry the threads so I cut the threads. It seemed like a million threads to weave in. Most of them I wove in a little as I was knitting but there were plenty more to be woven in. It's done now . . all except for the soaking and ...
Yarn Arrival

They had left Lubbock on Thursday morning so, usually that would mean they arrived in Abilene Thursday evening, then Brownwood on Friday morning and got delivered on Friday. Vince went up to the highway and opened the gate so the mail lady would deliver ...
Late Night Knitting
I hope that isn't wishful thinking. I plan to stay up tonight til I finish this shawl. For some reason, Vince was up and making noise at 5:30 this morning. I had been in bed for 3.5 hours but I got up so that meant I felt justified in taking a nap this afternoon. I told Vince "I'm going to take a short nap!" The words Rita most recognizes are "food" and "nap". She ended up running into the bedroom ...
Yarn Ballband Article
Thanks, Erin, for sending me this article from Mason Dixon Knitting: Yarn Detective: Ballbands are Liars. I do subscribe to Mason Dixon's articles but had not read that one yet so when Erin sent it to me, I figured I should stop right then and read it. This is the exact article I wish I had read when I first started knitting. If you're a new or experienced knitter, it is so worth your time to ...
