The sheep on This I Know are stitched - their bodies anyway. I hope to stitch remaining body parts today, then I can get started filling in the background. It's hard to see them but with the background stitched, they should show up nicely. Otherwise, all I have left to stitch is the bird's beak, a few stitches in the nest and the veins in the leaves. I'm hoping to have this one finished ...
A Stitching Hoop
I love my scroll frames and the lap stands that hold them but they aren't the best for traveling. Since I don't travel, I guess I should say . . they aren't the best for stitching away from home. When I was at my uncle's last year, he had a great little chair but it had wooden arms so I put towels over the arms so the stand or frame wouldn't scratch them. When I was waiting while Vince was in ...
A Cherry Tree!
Here's a funny story about cherry trees. Before we moved to Kentucky, I had always canned but mostly it was green beans, tomatoes, corn, potatoes - just the typical garden produce and that was when I lived in Louisiana. My grandma had peach and pear trees but she always made the jam and preserves for all of us. We moved to Kentucky and there was a big orchard, Reid's Orchard, just a couple of ...
Funny Little Cooper

He had been sitting with Vince is his chair in the evenings. I think he and Oscar like the reclining sofa and Cooper has moved over and he and Oscar sleep on the leg part of the sofa while I'm stitching. Last night Cooper ...
Prairie Life Sampler Progress
Here's where I left off Monday night: This is where I stopped last night. I love all the different greens in the trees. I think I had left off Monday night at 8.6%. Now I'm at 13%! That's much better than I expected but I had a lot of stitching time yesterday. We didn't go anywhere. All I did outside was water the garden. I heated up leftovers for dinner. And, it was quicker ...
Prairie Life Sampler Progress
This is where I was on Prairie Life Sampler when I put it away to work on the Leap Year project: I had the outline of the border finished. That last stitch there is where it met up. I worked on it a couple of times afterwards but not enough to write a blog post. Here's where I stopped last night. According to the Markup app, which I'm now using for pretty much every project, ...
